Our very first day started at 3:20 pm on December the 29th, when the USA delegation arrived to the camp site. Leaders, JC’s and Staff were so eager for the arrival of the kids and there they were. All delegations began arriving to the camp, almost two hours had passed when we received the last of the 48 kids, the Brazilian girls.
We then started our village with some energizers: Che-che-cure, Moose and the Pony Song. We saw how motivated the kids are, and all the energy they had.
Our first dinner was wonderful, and we had a special celebration for Joao, a Brazilian delegate whose birthday was on the 27th, but as a family we celebrated it with everyone today.
Then we started getting to know each other a bit more, with the night activity, where all delegations, including the staff and the JC’s introduced themselves.
CISV spirit was present when we had our flag time, we put the flag down and said goodnight.
Just relax take it easy……some lyrics from the songs we sang in our first lullabies.
And finally it was time to go to bed….good night Sleep tight, don't let the bed bugs bite ...
