January the 1

Canada was the delegation of the day.

Since we had a New Years eve party the night before we didn't wake up until 10:30 We then had a typical Costa Rican brunch which consisted of Gallo Pinto tortilla, cheese, eggs, fried plantain. After brunch we had our cleaning groups followed by free time/sista. It was the first time that the JC shop opened and everyone was happy about this!

We then had an activity of the Mickey Mouse Game and the Card Game which were really fun. The delegation time was at a normal schedule time and it was nice to talk with the other delegates. After delegation time was supper which was consisted of pizza and sallad! The pizza was huge but very good. We asked the group questions about Canada to decide the order in which peaople got to eat.

After supper we had the Costa Rican national night the delegation had the room nicely decorated and they wore typical costumes. The national night consisted of a video about Costa Rica and about each of the delegates and some traditional dances. The last part of the national night was to sample some Costa Rican cookies candies and fudge. After the national night we went to lullabies and chose 4 songs. The songs were Yesterday, You've got a friend, Can you feel the love tonight, Let it be. After that we all went to bed for a good night rest.

  1. Thank you for taking the time to share the details of the camp. As parents we love seeing and reading about our kids. Knowing what they ate and sang to go to sleep is just great. Again, thank you and please keep it up - post a lot of pictures of everyone - dorms, dining room, etc. -- Iskander´s mom (Costa Rica).
